3 TMNT Shorts from SDCC + Awesome New Concept Art

I’ve meant to post thee since SDCC ended last week but Nickelodeon have made them nigh on impossible to track down outside of the states..until now. Cowabunga!

There were many great Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle reveals at SDCC probably because the Nickelodeon cartoon had a solid panel at both the Nick booth and at publishers IDW’s booth where Kevin Eastman held court and signed books and answered questions.

First item that caught my eye was the gorgeous concept art for the Foot Clan’s new female badass, Shinigami, the witch. I’ve seen Nick’ post this a few times across social media and not once said who drew it, which is a shame. Check it out below.

Shinigami the Mystic Witch of The Foot Clan debuts when the turtles return to US screens on August 14.

One piece of art that was also well received at Comic Con was this gorgeous greyscale work from series producer, Ciro Nieli. I also suspect the Shinigami is Ciro’s work but don’t quote me on that!

Here is the first of the shorts debuted at SDCC, excitingly, this one is by the legendary Jhonen Vasquez (Invader Zim, Johnny The Homicidal Maniac).
