Character Designs From Amazing World of Gumball Seasons 3 & 4

There are many people involved in bringing us the world of Elmore, today we check out some character design tests from just two of them.

Sadly, the innovative multi-media-esque character fest that is The Amazing World of Gumball is coming to an end (creator Ben Bocquelet has said he wants to go out on a roll) but whilst it’s on it remains one of the most enjoyable cartoons on TV, the mixture of real location photographs as backgrounds and a multitude of different character designs ensure there is always something eye-popping on-screen during Gumball’s 15 minutes.

It is the character design strengths I’m looking toward today as we take some design boards from the portfolios of French artists Vincent Bechet (season 3) and Yoann Hervo (season 3 and 4). I’ve also included the anime fight scene from season 4’s The Fury which features the design for Masami’s Mum shown here (kinda). First up, Yoann Hervo on season 3 and 4.
